I didn't realize they had subways, other than the sandwich shops, in Columbus, GA. Speaking of which, I wonder if they make these with 4 digits?

I've been listening to Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince audiobook on the iPod. This is the first fiction audiobook I've actually tried. Holy shit, is Jim Dale the most awesome narrator ever? Question: will any other fiction audiobooks be a step down, where the narrator doesn't do a gazillion unique character voices?

I highly, highly, highly recommend you listed to all 7 of the HP audio books. These are the best I have ever listed to, by far.
ReplyDeleteYes, all others are a step down, although the Chronicles of Narnia (which I know you will never listen to) are very well done with a number of different british actors narrating.
Perhaps one has to be British to narrate an audiobook properly?
I have listened to all the Twilight saga books on audio as well, though, and while the narrator there is no Jim Dale, she does a good enough job for me to lose myself in the story rather than being preoccupied with the storyteller.
BTW... on some Dark Knight trailers the new Twilight trailer resides. Of course it looks awesome!!! Hope you get to see it when you check out the flick.
