Friday night after some ample sampling of the devil's cabbage and most of a bottle of 1792, I was tweeting up a storm about a various iTunes playlists and we got on the subject of "great driving music." For me, this means when I hit "play" I want to grip the steering wheel, put my hand on the shifter and my foot on the gas, and GO. What songs make you just wanna...drive?
Because of the beat and propulsive rhythm. Because it's about cars or driving. Because it produces a sense of being on the open road.
I got some great suggestions to go along with my "musts" (which starts with "Radar Love," "East Bound and Down" and "Call Me the Breeze").
So I looked at my iTunes Library and started adding some tunes and here's the initial list. It's a work in progress, so take a look at the list (conveniently exported into PDF form) and tell me what you think, and what I should add.
You can grab the PDF of the playlist HERE
